How to View your Email Tracking Information

Once configured, you’ll be able to view tracking statistics for each mail sent within SOLID.

1. Within a Customer’s Account, click on the Messages tab:

2. Simply mouse over the status of the email you’d like to view the tracking information for to view a pop-up status message:

3. To see a detailed list of the status of each email sent within a batch, click on the coloured Status box. A pop-up will display with details of the communication, and a table below that will identify the delivery status for individual contacts:

Available Status Options and their meanings

sent Email has been sent successfully
sent partial One or more emails has not been sent successfully
pending Email has been queued for sending
bounced Email has been bounced due to either being registered as spam by the receivers spam filter, or due to an incorrect or non-existent email address
bounced partial One or more email has bounced due to either being registered as spam by the receivers spam filter, or due to an incorrect or non-existent email address
open Email has been opened by the receivers
pen partial One or more email has been opened by the receivers
clicked A Link within the email has been clicked by the receivers
clicked partial One or more links within the email has been clicked by the receivers
failed One or more email has failed in its sending

 

Reports Available within Everlytic

Everlytic differentiates between ‘Bulk’ and ‘Transactional’ email.

  • Bulk: Traditional Marketing emails sent to a targeted email list
  • Transactional: Emails sent from within SOLID that are manually sent or triggered by workflows (these are the one’s we’re interested in)

To view your Transactional email reports:

1. Log into your Everlytic account

2. Enter your Transactional portal by clicking on the red Transactional icon in the top right hand corner of your account:

3. Click on the Reports icon on the left hand side navigation and selection ‘Transactions’:

4. From here you’ll be able to see a list of your Transaction Groups with some high level statistics:

5. To see a more detailed list of statistics and graphs, click on the email you want to know more about and in-depth information will display on the right hand side of the screen. Click on the ‘Detailed’ icon to see a graphical representation of your statistics:

6. The Detailed report displays almost anything you’d need to know:

  • Filter by Date or Domain
  • View/Export a variety of reports including: Opens, Clicks, Sends, Locations, Failed and Bounced

How to Set Up Everlytic/SOLID Integration

1. Sign up for an Everlytic account

Contact Everlytic through their website to sign up for their services and to set up an account: http://www.everlytic.co.za/contact-us/
2. Configure your SOLID account

Enter the below configurations into your SOLID instance:

EmailSettings:smtpserver smtp.analytic.com The outbound smtp relay server to use for sending email.
 EmailSettings:smtpport 25 The outbound smtp server port to use for sending email.
 EmailSettings:EnableSmtpCustomerMessageTracking y Enable API level message tracking.
 EmailSettings:EnableSmtpAuthentication y Enable SMTP sending authentication.
 EmailSettings:SmtpUsername EverlyticSMTPUsername Authentication for STMP services when using Everlytic delivery.
 EmailSettings:SmtpPassword EverlyticSMTPPassword Sending password when enabling Everlytic.

3. Configure your Everlytic Callback URL

Configure the Everlytic callback URL and details as per the below screenshot:

  • Make sure to select ‘Sending Callbacks’
  • Check Enable Callbacks
  • Post to URL: https://<your-solid-server>/<your-solid-instance>/callback/everlytic/messagestatusupdate
  • Check Transaction sent
  • Check Transaction delivered
  • Check Transaction failed
  • Check Transaction opened
  • Check Transaction link clicked
  • Check Enable Bounce Callbacks and Post to URL: https://<your-solid-server>/<your-solid-instance>/callback/everlytic/messagestatusupdate
